The Lukwata of Lake Victoria is said to be 20 feet to 30 feet long, has a long snake like neck, makes bellowing roars, overturns boats and canoes and grabs anyone in it, and kills and eats crocodiles.
ReplyDeleteSir Clement Hill saw a Lukwata in 1900 near Home mountain as it tried to grab a man from his steamship, while the explorer W. Grant encountered one of these animals while sailing Lake Victoria. The monster killed and ate one of the men on his boat. This happened near Jinja, Uganda. In 1959, T.E. Cox and his wife saw a Lukwata swimming near the shore at Muhuru Bay, Kenya. The animal didn't try to attack them this time because the couple were safely out of reach on dry land. Lukwata are entirely aquatic and are unable to leave the water. If the couple were in the water they certainly would have been attacked by this animal.
The Lukwata could be any number of things. Most likely it's a living Plesiosaur that survived extinction. It could also be a long necked Dolphin or Whale, or a long necked seal, a long necked eel, some kind of lizard, or some kind of snake, an unknown mammal in order of its own, or an unknown reptile in an order of its own.
